Bruce Mahalski - Bone Sculptures
New Zealand artist Bruce Mahalski has had solo and group exhibitions of his art work in a range of media including screen-printing, photography, painting and sculpture since 1996. In 2005 he made the first bone gun for an anti-war exhibition called Full Spectrum Dominance and by 2010 he had begun to specialize in his trademark textural bone sculptures.
He sells work all over the world and accepts commissions. You can visit his studio at ‘Nautilus’ in Owhiro Bay on the South Coast of Wellington. You can also watch a short video documentary about ‘The Bone Collector’ on Vimeo and see the very latest works on his page – The Bone Man – on Facebook.
